The below points are for consideration, and a guide to care for your Ineō products:
Store: To keep your leather and hardware in the best condition, handle with care and store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Your pieces can be protected in transit in their original pouch and hung or laid flat after each use.
Wear: Over time, the leather will become develop a unique, natural patina - by fully appreciating its aesthetic qualities, you will own a piece that is individual and entirely yours. To preserve the velvety texture of the suede lining, gently rub with a soft brush. Take special care to minimize the change of texture and colour over time (however, this cannot be completely eliminated).
Protect: Keep your items away from objects that might scratch or puncture them. Avoid contact with abrasive agents and keep liquids away from the leathers and metalwork; these may damage the finish. If your item gets wet, blot away the liquid with a paper towel (do not rub) and air-dry naturally.
Clean: For minor marks and stains, blot the leather with a soft, damp and lint-free cloth. For cleaning with detergent, refer to the instructions on Ineō’s recommended leather cleaning product. For all other, deeper cleaning, refer to a leather cleaning specialist.
Colour: As a result of the tanning process (a necessary step in manufacture to colour and preserve the leather), vibrant or deep colours can occasionally transfer onto lighter fabrics or objects. Shades may also vary between batches.
Depending on wear-time, the outer-surface of the leather should be treated with a leather conditioner every three-to-six months. This treatment nourishes the leather and prevents it from drying out, becoming less supple, discolouring and cracking - in-turn increasing the lifespan of your Ineō pieces. The leather conditioner on our site (Leather Honey) has been carefully sourced and tested to maintain the original matte-finish of the Ineō piece. We recommend a patch test, on an inconspicuous area, before using an alternative product.
The suede linings and the undersides of the unlined leather should not be cleaned or conditioned in the same way, as this will dramatically affect the colour, breathability and overall finish of the piece. Please source separate suede-care products for these surfaces, if desired.
